World renowned artist
Keith Haring unbelievably began his career in the subways of New York city with little more than a handful of chalk. His
whimsical yet primitive outlined characters
brought a sense of being alive to those who
came across his work.

His work evokes a feeling
of one-ness. With crossbred species and intertiwining figures, Haring is almost
asking the viewer to accept any type of lifestyle. His bright colors mixed with the
simple outlined form create more than your typical cartoon. The strongest elements
of line and color change the mood from picture to picture.

A poet, graffiti artist,
drawer, sculptor, comedian, painter, collagist, and more, Haring undoubtedly amazed his
audience with his work, regardless of the medium he used. Upon his death in 1990 of
AIDS, Haring entered the art books as being one of the first respected gallery artisits to
use light to paint, sketch, and doodle and to use light waves on the screen, constructing
Virtual worlds.
